Dr. Scott Spitzer is an Associate Professor of Political Science at University of California, Irvine. His research interests address the role of race in American political development. His work focuses on the U.S. presidency, federal welfare policymaking, and racial politics. Spitzer was also the teaching assistant for New York City former Mayor David N. Dinkins.
